From Rhode Island to Kansas City, MO

Posted on August 7, 2008

Well this post is a little late, sorry for whoevers been checking in. I’ve been pretty beat from the drive. I didn’t take many too pictures of this part of the trip mainly because I just wanted to get to Kansas City to hang out with friends and family. My mom ended up being in St Louis on a Biz trip when I was driving through so I met up with here for the night.

We went to eat and walked out to this. Some diesel storm! Sorry for the cell phone pic.

From this point on I’ll be able to take my time and hopefully get some cool shots along the way. I’ll be here in KC for the next week or so and then, on to White Sands, New Mexico. Here are a couple shots from the trip. They aren’t that hot but just snapshots along the way. I think I’ll cruise around KC area and see what I can find for locations.

I started out checking my email and the Map one more time.

and of course, stuck in an hour of traffic in NYC

Then the VR6 needed some gas.

Sunoco Gas Station

and then through the Mountains in Pennsylvania.

I ended up crashing out in Western, PA. I guess there were some crazy ass storms coming through cause I woke up to the Tornado Warning Sirens. I just layed there hoping none hit the hotel. Luckily they didn’t so I hit the road again headed to KC.

Turned the Dirty Thirty

The first post in my 30′s and yes I feel somewhat the same as 29. Although hitting 30, leaving my job next week and moving to LA 4 days after that makes me feel younger. Usually people get it out of their system in the early-mid twenties. I’ve had plenty of fun and gained a shit ton of experience here in the East Coast but It’s time to pursue my dream! I’ll miss everyone here and will have room for anyone to visit (might be some milk crates to crash on the first few months). With that I’ll leave this camera phone pic of my B-Day Cake / Fried Dough. (it was goooood!)

Location Termination

Posted on July 22, 2008

As a Photographer your always location scouting and trying to match your subject to it. Well this post is about a great location that no longer exists. I knew of the spot from way back in the graff days and you used to actually be able to skate in it… but never thought of it as a good backdrop for shooting cars. Well a few years ago I stopped to check it out for shooting the winning cars from Primer Car Show and Performance VW Magazine and it was perfect. So this year they decided to knock it down to put in more condos for the evergrowing city of Providence

Well there’s a first time for everything. I went out on the water with the owner of Coastline Collisions to get some shots of his boat. Here’s a couple from the cruise.

Went out with Guido last night and found some great locations. Here’s his 96 BMW M3. This is one of the first cars I shot back when I started concentrating on automotive photography. It was cool to get out and see if I could top the first shots from 4 or 5 years ago.

Subliminal Skatepark, with the Dirty Thirty’s

Posted on July 14, 2008

We went up to check out the Subliminal Skatepark Friday night with everyone. Even though I wasn’t able to skate because I broke my arm this year, I pulled the camera out and got some shots.

Aquatic Life

Here’s a logo I just finished up for… like the title says… Aquatic Life Pool and Spa. I wanted to keep the type simple but still have a flow to it with he wave element inside.
